Billing & Insurance

Access Communication & Therapy is an approved provider for individuals receiving funding from the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). We also accept Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ.

We will provide a Superbill for private pay clients to submit to their insurance for reimbursement.

Private payment is accepted by check or credit card.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We participate with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ. We are also participating providers with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and accept DDD funding. Private pay clients will receive a superbill which can be submitted for potential insurance reimbursement.

  • Payment is expected at the time of service. Check or credit card is accepted.

  • We expect 24 hours' notice for non-emergent cancellations. No shows or late cancellations may be charged at the therapist's discretion.

  • We offer in-office and in-home therapy services, depending on need and therapist availability.

  • We offer teletherapy when it is appropriate to meet the needs of the client.

  • AAC is Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It is communication that supports or serves as an alternative to speech. We provide full AAC Evaluations to determine the best system to meet the needs of an individual who is not currently able to meet all of their communication needs through speech.

  • We work with pediatric and adult clients.

  • We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs.

  • Length and frequency of therapy sessions is determined by the therapist and is based on the needs of the client.

  • It is very important that parents and other caregivers be a part of the therapeutic process. In order for therapy to be effective, strategies must be carried over at home. Depending on the situation, parents/caregivers may be included in all or part of sessions.

  • We require that an adult be present for all sessions with children or adults who require care. If the caregiver is not participating in the session, they may wait in the waiting area. If services are provided at home, an adult must remain at home during the session.

  • Yes, we believe that collaboration is vital to success in therapy.
